Discover the transformative power of yoga

At Guruveda Yoga, we offer a unique yoga experience designed to help you find balance, strength, and inner peace.

Guruveda Family

Our school aims to bring the philosophy of yoga into everyday life, into daily tasks… ultimately, into life itself.

We strive to offer a truly authentic yoga practice, staying true to the ancestral legacy passed down to us by our teachers. We approach yoga with great respect.

We connect with care and warmth to those who come to this school. We’ve witnessed the healing of many people who have walked through our doors, and we’ve shared in their growth beyond the physical aspect of yoga — as its benefits have also become evident on the mental and energetic levels, forming a complete whole.

Make yourself at home!

At Guruveda Family, we’re committed to creating a warm and welcoming environment, staying true to our motto: “where everyone feels at home.”

Since our opening in 2021, many wonderful people — both teachers and students — have passed through our school. People from all walks of life, as we practice yoga in connection with the many aspects one may encounter along life’s journey.

Classes

At Guruveda Yoga, we offer a unique yoga experience designed to help you find balance, strength, and inner peace. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced practitioner, our classes are tailored for all levels, ensuring that each session brings you closer to physical and mental well-being.

You’ll be amazed by the quality of our teachers and the variety of yoga styles we offer.

Hatha means strength and is one of the most traditional styles practiced both in the West and the East. It is the ideal type of yoga for those who are just beginning this discipline.

This style focuses on body alignment and developing flexibility and balance through various techniques to channel that strength. The practice of Hatha combines postures (asanas) with breathing exercises (pranayamas).

With this branch of yoga, the body is toned by strengthening the muscles, and body and inner awareness are improved.

We have observed in our students how, gradually with this practice, anxiety and stress decrease, while lung capacity, self-esteem, and a sense of well-being increase.

We offer gentler classes where we use all kinds of props (blocks, chairs, etc.), as well as intermediate-level classes where we deepen into more advanced postures.

In the classes, we not only support students who need it but also provide posture variations so each person can choose the option that best suits their process and that particular day, making it accessible for people of all ages and levels of experience.

“Flow”

The purpose of this practice is to let flow happen. It is a dynamic coordination of movement and breath, linking one asana (posture) to another, creating a yoga flow or Hatha Vinyasa flow.

These classes will help you develop strength, flexibility, and focus. To achieve a fluid activity without resistance, we work on proprioception and concentration. We apply pranayamas (breathing techniques) and bandhas (energy locks), which promote, among other benefits, blood circulation, sweating, and activation of the lymphatic system. This practice is ideal for toning and detoxifying the body, clearing the mind, and recharging our energy.

At our school, you will find classes for all levels.

“Calm Yoga”

This yogic sleep (as its Sanskrit meaning indicates) is the most passive type of yoga there is.

Reaching that state between wakefulness and sleep is a form of meditation that helps calm the mind and achieve deep yet conscious relaxation.

At our school, we practice it by alternating gentle and simple postures at the beginning of each class with a guided meditation, usually in the shavasana pose (lying down), including mantra chanting, visualizations, affirmations, and more.

The practice of Yoga Nidra has multiple benefits: it helps calm the nervous system, bringing the mind to a deeper state of awareness, reduces anxiety, helps eliminate phobias and overcome fears, serving as a powerful tool for self-observation and self-knowledge through an amazing journey with the mind and body as protagonists.

It improves sleep and increases the capacity to focus, make decisions, and regulate emotions.

The Yoga of AWARENESS

It is an ancient technology, perfect for those who need to clear the mind and for those seeking transformation on an energetic and emotional level.

It came from India to the West thanks to the spiritual Master Yogi Bhajan, who inspired thousands of people over decades, motivated by a long and sacred tradition of Masters (the Golden Chain) and with the deepest reverence for his own Master, who taught him in India when he was young.

Becoming aware of how Kundalini energy, from the base of the spine, begins an upward journey toward the higher chakras is difficult to explain.
It is a type of yoga best understood through experience, where each student has a unique journey.

It is not an easy path but a very transformative one. Facing your own limits and unmasking the ego is a challenge that leads to the elevation of the self — the recognition of our true identity and reverence for the divine within us.

In the yoga room, we perform Kriyas as part of the Sadhana practice, which are asanas (postures) and repetitive exercises carried out for specific times with particular pranayamas (breathing techniques).
Classes are usually accompanied by mantra chanting and Kundalini meditations. These should be guided by people who possess mastery and purity of spirit.

We approach Pilates exercise from a highly personalized perspective with very small groups.

This discipline involves practicing a series of controlled movements that provide both physical and mental training.

Our approach focuses on the development and progression of each student’s practice. We offer dynamic and creative classes that allow progress regardless of physical condition, experience level, or age.

This practice is performed on a mat or standing, and it has multiple benefits:

  • Tones the body by improving posture, joint flexibility, and muscle strength.

  • Helps develop balance, mobility, and coordination.

  • Provides stress relief through body work and strengthens mental focus.

In short, it is a great ally if you seek to strengthen your abdomen or waist, lose weight, or reduce discomfort in your back and neck.
